    Welcome to my Blog page, I am  Julie a 50 something Seasonal  Health nut, who's looking to live  "my late summer" years to the fullest by staying healthy , happy and clear of mind well into my 90's.
     Committed to  Seasonal Living as a tonic to modern day living, pressure and stress, using food, yoga, mediation and traditional Indian and Chinese Medicine . Working with the Circadian rhythm to stay in sync and flow with natures, natural energy .
     More hibernation in winter, sleeping longer, restoring yin yoga practice, warming foods. Contrasting in  Summer with cooler foods, lots of outdoor activities, higher energy Ashtanga yoga, lots more social events.
    Big advocate of Plant based food as a way of healing with plants and releasing the energy stored within. Having been ill and lacking in energy for quite a few years, culminating in a stint in hospital with a kidney stone and lung infection, this was the medicine that my body craved, first becoming vegetarian and later vegan, after training as a plant based nutritional facilitator.
    I am  also a JING addict.....that's right JING not GIN... The Chinese believe that we are all born with a predetermined amount of life essences- JING energy,,  the quicker we use this energy, then the  quicker it burns up, the quicker we age. If we take steps to look after it, work on using our Chi energy- our energy from food and air,  restore our energy in our  Yin organs , we can sustain a  longer, fuller healthier life..
